About ME
I grew up in Fredericksburg, Virginia surrounded by the mark of the civil war so I've always had a sense of the past, which I believe influenced my driven, scholarly attitude. With that, I pride my self on my love for learning and the knowledge I get from it. I typically enjoy engaging in activities such as debates, analytical conversation, and activities involving creativity and problem-solving.
Global Education Achievement Certification
As a student at Bay Port high school, I joined the GEAC program to gain a broader global understanding. I plan to do so by taking select courses such as IB English and history. I've also been reading, watching, and viewing different global works; This includes movies, art, and even books that all have select cultural influences and perspectives. I also take part in the full-IB program here at Bayport which focuses on providing students with a globally focused education over the span of two years.
The IB Diploma
I joined the full-IB Diploma program in hopes that its globalized system and teachings would support my work on the Global Education Achievement Certification since they are both globally focused and promote secular perspective building through a multitude of ethnic lenses.
Knitting!
I learned to knit in a school club, Knitting for Peace. Since then, not only do I love to knit but I have become president of the club. I am happily spreading the skill and am learning more constantly, including how to crochet. The club knits for profit, all donated to charities and shelters in our local Green Bay community.
